The PokerStars PCA is one of the most popular events on the schedule and for good reason; it’s cold in January for most people! The PCA takes place in Nassau and for those who love the sun, will now have 5 days to compete in the event. Not only that but several event have been added in to take up the additional time.
Following the lead of Full Tilt Poker, they will now offer a “High Rollers” event with a $25,000 buy in. There’s also a range of smaller events starting at only $1,000 to enter. The “battleship poker” events, which have proven to be very popular are also going to be featured as part of the PCA in 2009.
Also announced is the return of the PCA Poker Camp, which gives online qualifiers the opportunity to be coached by players such as Chris Moneymaker, Greg Raymer, Daniel Negreanu, and other Team PokerStars members. With this addition to the line up, it’s a sure bet that poker players will likely spend more time at the tables than in the sun!
