Winter Poker Open Kicks Off Today

The fourth annual Winter Poker Open kicked off today at the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa.  The tournament series is scheduled to last for 17 days and will culminate with the Borgata Championship Event which will be played January 25 through 29. 
 
The Borgata is flying high after its record breaking Poker Open which was held in September and offered the largest guaranteed prize pool ever by a casino hotel.  It is once again demonstrating why it is the top poker destination on the East Coast by offering a guaranteed prize pool of $2 million to players in this year’s Championship event which has a buy in of $3,000 plus a $200 entry. 
 
This year’s opening event will be a $350 + $50 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em event featuring two starting days.  The Borgata has 46 separate widely varied events scheduled including No Limit Hold’em, Deep Stack, Ladies and Seniors events, Limit, Omaha High and Pot Limit tournaments, and a HORSE event in addition to single table tournaments and live action in their 85 table poker room.  On site registration for all Borgata Winter Open events is available 24 hours a day until the last day of the tournament.
