Huge Hand - Borgata 5-10NL
12-06-2006
Gregg “Bunky” Williams
Main Game. I haven't been there long enough to get a solid rep, I'm probably viewed as tight as I haven't been splashing around and still trying to feel out the table.
I have TT and open raise UTG to 40 with a 1200 stack. Folded around to an older Asian gentleman who is very short stacked and pushes for his last 185. He's been playing a bunch of hands while I've been there and lost about 1000 in the short time I was there. I decide I'm calling this guy like a shot.
The BB is very loose, very bad and he has been hitting a ton of cards and has run his stack up to over 2k. He's loose makes horrible call downs when he's obviously behind and has gotten there river style.
He calls the extra 175.00 cold.
Now, He's probably on big cards as I have seen him call these kind of raises with unsuited broadways, he will reraise the big pairs though, as he was in the must move with me early on. I decide to still call as he may very well call a big reraise on a squeeze. I hope the flop comes low and I can pus him out and/or milk him post flop.
Pot is now $560.00
Flop Tc 9s 5c
BB checks, I bet 200 as I dearly want him to call now.
He thinks and calls the 200. (Keep chasing that ace my friend.)
Pot now $960.00 and I have about $800 left.
Turn 4d
BB checks again and I decide it has to be go time.
I push.
BB thinks for about 30 seconds and folds.
All in guy goes "what you have?"
Bunky: "Set of Tens good right?"
I show the hand and he mucks before the river card is even dealt. The river is a 9 to complete the full house but completely unnecessary.
