Bodog Poker is own of the better kept secrets in online poker. We say this because despite having been around for years with great Texas Holdem ring games and tournament traffic the games at Bodog are just as soft now as they were back in 2004.
110% up to $550 Bodog Bonus - Join Now!
The fact that Bodog’s games are so soft is likely contributed to spillover traffic from their online casino and sportsbook. Each day hundreds of players with limited to no poker experience, or just plain gamblers looking to take a shot, make their way over from the casino/sportsbook to give poker a try. As an experienced player your window of profit potential at Bodog Poker should be as large if not larger than at any other online poker site.
Update: When UIGEA passed Bodog had lots of setbacks which caused slow processing times for check payouts to US players. These challenges have been resolved for several months now and currently Bodog ranks among the fastest payout times in the industry with stated check delivery times of 7-10 days, however most of the time checks are arriving in a few days. If you’re in the US right now Bodog is one of the top online poker rooms to play at.

Bodog Poker Software Review
Bodog Poker is not part of any network, nor does it use software provided by any poker network supplier. Not only is their software independent and proprietary, it barely resembles traditional online poker software. For this reason you’ll find a lot of mixed opinions with some people loving the software, while others who are used to traditional software finding it less appealing.
The first think you’ll notice when you join a Bodog Poker table is how fast the games are played. Bodog has chosen to only allow players to play up to 4 tables at a time, as they feel this keeps the games moving faster making them more enjoyable for the recreational player (which is Bodog’s primary target). The software does provide dealing and shuffling sound effects, but you’ll find the cards are dealt so fast it’s as if they appear rather than actually get dealt.
Once you get used to the fast pace of these games you’ll probably fall in love with the software. It has all the old school features such as table chat, note taking, stats from lobby etc, the second generation additions such as custom aviators, advanced hand histories, always in front seating, etc and the latest industry innovation such as auto reload and resizeable tables.
Personally we’re big fans of the software ourselves. However, because there are a lot of mixed opinions you might want to try it out in play money mode first before depositing. This way you’re sure it’s a site you’ll enjoy playing at.
