High Stakes Poker Season 1

High Stakes Poker Season 1 was taped from the Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas NV and made its television broadcast debut in January 2006 on the Game Show Network (GSN). What made High Stakes Poker so interesting is it was the first poker show to use the cash game format, as previously televised poker shows were all tournaments. To make things even more interesting was the super high stakes involved, players were required to buy-in with at least $100K of their own money and some players even bough in for a cool $1,000,000.
